TECH QUESTION??
I don't know if there is a way to do this but I'm sure someone will tell me..Can you switch from "First Person" to "Third Person" during game play???
I've been trying other software to record games and I think it would be cool to be able to switch...Lemme know anybody...Thanx in advance Big Grin

RE: TECH QUESTION??
Thanx for the response. I knew that about spectating. What I'm asking is if the "player" can switch himself to 3rd person during or before game play???

RE: TECH QUESTION??
No, we don't currently support this.

If you want 3rd-person shots for a video, your best bet is to get someone to go into spectator mode and act as a "cameraman."

Is there no longer a "chase cam" view in AA?

RE: TECH QUESTION??
Sorry Metalhead, I am clearly getting old. I realize now that chase cam was the way spectator mode used to work. You would follow the player immediately behind them in the "chase cam" view so you could not see their crosshairs. That was done away with for the current format where you see the same POV as the player.

I don't know that there isn't a chase cam, I just know that what I was thinking does not apply. Googling "Quake II chase cam" suggests that other Q2 mods, such as Half Life, do have a chase cam - so we might (but I suspect we don't).
