It seems like this doesn't work at least in CTF games.

I can look at the code, but you're probably right, and it's probably intentional. That would be a strange thing to have in CTF games, it would ruin game play to a degree.

You might have a point there. But sometimes I frag an enemy who is close to his flag, I get the flag then get fraged from the enemy I just shot who spawned right behind me.
And speaking of spawns, we were playing a 2v2 in pillars yesterday. Pillars has 2 spawn points for each team. My team mate spawned at the same spawn point I just spawned resulting in killing me. Now in a crowded game that would be acceptable, but not in a 2v2 game. And getting fraged in a crowded game from a spawning team mate is a drag. I'd prefer to spawn a second or two later prior to fraging a team mate.

This should have been posted in a feature reqeust section or something but we don't have one Smile

Oh, yeah, well that's really a map design flaw as much as anything. Only 2 spawn points per team? Maps should typically have at least double the amount of spawn points than the number of players they are designed to accomodate.

Yeah, no map should have less than 12 period, regardless of how it's intended to be played(such as 2v2), because you really don't know how it's going to be used down the road.

Most of mine have at least 16 if it's a single player map, and 24-32 if it's CTF. The code tries to eliminate telefrags from spawns, but there's only so much it can do when you only have a couple of spawn points.
