RE: Qrad3 do not compile
The error is:

Code:
bsp/qrad3/lightmap.c: In function ‘DetectUniformColor’:
bsp/qrad3/lightmap.c:1894:2: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘assert’; did you mean ‘__sqrt’? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
  assert (newsize <= oldsize);
  ^~~~~~
  __sqrt

But that is odd since assert.h is included. This may be a compiler bug? The line is not necessary, it is just a check for errors, so try commenting it out.

Code:
// assert (newsize <= oldsize);

(Googled the error. There was some indication that some older gcc's need source files to #include <stdlib.h> for assert() to work.)
Cool If I am ever on life support, unplug me. Then plug me back in, see if that works. It did!!!

RE: Qrad3 do not compile
I tried to comment on the line
Code:
assert (newsize <= oldsize);

but qrad3 does not work, it returns this message

Code:
noload /home/devil/Scrivania/../../data1/textures/arena9/floor1.tga
Errore di segmentazione (core dump creato)
the law is equal for all, in my country is one hope

RE: Qrad3 do not compile
Just wanted to note that while the mapping tools build fine on my arch linux system, it is still segfaulting when trying to compile a map. I've been doing a little mapping of late, to get around this I've been using the same code in a centos vm which works as expected Undecided

Doing a debug build is failing as well with this message:

/utils3/bsp/qrad3/trace.c:377: undefined reference to `GetRGBASample'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [Makefile:213: debug/qrad3] Error 1
